O____O this kind of made me want to find out about Evangelion but I don't do unhappy endings (I am a wuss) and I've heard it doesn't end all that swell. But OMG the imagery in this was absolutely STUNNING and even though I've no idea who the characters were, I immediately ACHED for them DD:
