IMPORTANT: Posting Exploitive Information

August 26, 2008 @ 7:24 pm

Hey guys! I'm just here with a few updates.

IMPORTANT! All technical bugs should be reported to ochiba directly. If there is ever a time when an error message is NOT from the error page but is a fatal error, members should never post this information on the site. It is critical server information and exposing it endangers the server and everyone else's work. It puts the server at high risk for malicious attacks.

Anyone who does this in the future will have their account terminated.

Since ochiba is hard at work on the port (and believe me she is!!), bugs on this version are not critical UNLESS you cannot login to your account.

Also, I encourage members to continue with the Treasure Hunt! This has been a great deal of fun and we really hope to make this a regular event around the board. I'll post more details for future events as they become available :)

A fatal error requires the system to shut down or abort (or, if your computer is having a fatal error, then you'd have no choice but to restart). That is, that's what I think it is!
All righty, OQM!! The treasure hunt was extra fun.
If you're reading this Ochi-sama, I'm very excited to see what you will come up with and keep it up!!

I am not certain of the technical explanation of a "fatal error" (as I'm not savvy in that department) but you will know one when you see it, as the page will say "fatal error" followed by some text/url.

What is a "fatal error"?
