Hahaha man that's such a lovable picture, it's cheese, but it's flavour is pleasant. I can hear "Holding out for a hero" in the background already... or no "Push it to the limit" yeah 80's in technicolor = it's freaking wicked to the max power XTREEM. Damnit if they don't make posters of this how will anyone buy them? BREAK.THE.LIMIT! POW POW POW

awww, hahaha, he looks FIERCE! I think it's wonderful and that you should definitely keep testing yours AND the community's limits with thoughtful, constructive pieces like this <3

If we are just talking about technique here, then it would take you drawing with your left foot and eyes closed to trigger from me anything other than: wow, more LavaLizard art. I'm biased--you know that, and it works to your advantage. That said, comparing this to another submission and your demonstrated talent one can objectively see that the work could be smoother and more dynamic.
Do you disagree?
Your work was posted because the timer says: 69 minutes. Judging by the timer (which is what we do) you have not broken our rules. But I get it... it's the principle that we ignore the actual time and accept your assertion that this work was done in under 60 minutes.
So... did you succeed?
Hmm... I'd argue you set an example.
This isn't some random 'eye-candy' doodle. You have put thought and--even if you deny it--time into producing this oekaki. You planned this a while back, and discussed this with us on the board. The result is a comtemplative and intrinsically 'ochibau' piece which encourages both community discussion and critical viewing. It's a rare treat in a submission.
Just like your work is not about breaking rules just to break them, our rule about enforcing time limits is not just to enforce them. We want to keep the quality of art and the quality of community here at a consistently high standard, and your submission helps us set if not raise our par.
Artists and writers who listen and respond to (or challenge) ideas brought up in this community and who communicate through the medium of creativity... this is exactly what I envisioned when I designed this board.
Thanks for sharing.

i think that rule has always been there, non? XD but either way, this is still a really nice picture~ even if i wanted to make a quicky picture that would be post-worthy, i'd still take so long anyway hahaha~
but yeah, i like how this came out~ the way you use your screentones is loads of fun! XD
