Cute!!! He looks definitely like an Alex.
I love the shading on his shirt (or is that patterns on his shirt?) - they look like fat sprinkles. All yummy with pastel colours.
I personally love his eyes and hair ... for some reason he reminds me of Genis, I don't know why. Probably because he has grey hair which is a lame reason to associate but I did!! He is cute anyway.

Yes~~ paintbbs is a rockstar~!
As long as you keep such beautiful colours, I think you'll be able to shift the focus more on those. So generic or not, your colouring is still like delicious psatries/beautiful candies I want to scarf down!

Hmm I like all the colors that went into this, I especially like the way you have dealt with the leaves - the oranges interact so well with your greens *u*
