This was a fun challenge. It's nice to take a break from thinking every now and then and just work on technique.

Anyway, this is Dita von Teese, famous contemporary burlesque performer and pinup model. I find the whole scene very fascinating and nostalgic, though I have to admit that I'm just starting to learn more about it.

I also have a question. Obviously, I'm really new and I don't know the subtleties of the site yet, but how does one gain Artist status? Is there a time frame that you have to work within to prove yourself? Do you have to submit a certain number of pieces? Just wondering ^_^.
